Ever thought why the hair industry is pushing the ‘wash, rinse repeat’ narrative? It’s simply a marketing tactic so you consume more.
The idea is to create a need for a product by making consumers believe they need to use it more frequently than necessary. However, washing your hair less frequently can actually be beneficial for both your hair and scalp, as well as for the planet.
My solution is simple!
Wash less, and train the hair to last longer in between washes. The easiest way to do this is to adapt a routine of pure, clean products that don’t over stimulate the body to produce too much sebum ( the oil on the scalp). This is exactly what my core range is all about.
1. a weekly oil treatment with the award winning Scented Organic Hair Oil - this is all about rebalancing the hair and making sure the mid-lengths & ends get the protection & nourishment they need, bringing back life and lustre to all hair types.
2. a gentle cleanser that doesn't strip the hair and scalp from nourishing oils (and organic dry shampoo for those in-between days)
3. add moisture for protection, longevity and vibrancy. The 4-in-1 is a cult classic for a reason. It is designed to be layered on wet or dry hair.
Over-washing can strip your hair of its natural oils, leading to dryness and breakage. Instead, apply my leave in moisturiser (4-in-1 Conditioner) to prolong your hair in-between washes.
Ultimately, this is why I advocate for using less product and training your hair to last longer between washes which in turn will help it become less oily over time. Sustainability is in the DNA of our brand, we want you to use nourishing ingredients less often.
While it may go against what the hair industry is promoting, washing less can actually be a healthier option for your hair and body - and it is definitely better for the planet.
